The following programs will be deactivated in spring, 2008 at the campuses that are indicated below. Before declaring one of these majors, students should be aware of the deactivation and the possibility of reduced course offerings at these specific campuses. Students should speak to a program faculty member and be aware of other colleges still offering these degrees and certificates.

EC-4 Early Childhood Specialization (p. 76) - Total credit hours for this degree is "63".
Automotive Technology AAS (p. 96) - Beginning spring, 2008: KINE will be required (any physical activity course).
Network Administrator Certificate MCSA/CCNA (104) - Prerequisite semester credit hour total is "8", and total credit hours for certificate is "24".
Network Engineer Certificate MCSE/CCNP (104) - In the prerequisite semester, the second line (ITCC 1402) should not reflect "4" credits the last column.
C++ Programming Enhanced Skills Certificate (p. 107) - Beginning spring, 2008: Lone Star College–Tomball will offer this certificate.
Architectural Engineering Technology AAS (p. 120) - Beginning spring, 2008: KINE will be required (any physical activity course).
Mechanical Engineering Technology AAS (p. 120) - Beginning spring, 2008: KINE will be required (any physical activity course).
Pre-Engineered Metal Building Drafting & Design AAS (p. 121) - Beginning spring, 2008: KINE will be required (any physical activity course).
Computer Engineering Technology AAS (p. 122) - Beginning spring, 2008: KINE will be required (any physical activity course).
Industrial Maintenance Technology AAS (p. 135) - Beginning spring, 2008: PSYC 1301 will be removed from this degree. Students following this degree plan should take PSYC 2301.
Computer Numeric Control Operator II Certificate (p. 141) - Beginning spring, 2008: students must take MCHN 2335 and MCHN 2381 rather than one or the other as listed in the 07-08 catalog.
Machinist I Certificate (p. 141) - Beginning spring, 2008: Lone Star College-North Harris will offer this certificate. Also beginning in spring, 2008, MCHN 1320 will be deleted from this certificate and MCHN 1343 will be added.
General Business Certificate (pages 142) - Beginning spring, 2008: HAMG and LMGT courses can be taken as specialization electives.
Management AAS (p. 143) - Beginning spring, 2008: HAMG and LMGT courses can be taken as specialization electives and KINE 1111 Fitness for Life will be required.
Business Administrative Support AAS (p. 162) - Beginning spring, 2008: Remove ITSC 1313 from degree plan. Replace with ITSC 2331. Students will have an option to take either ITSC 2331 or IMED 1316 rather than the option to take ITSC 1313 or IMED 1316 as currently listed in the 07/08 catalog.
Medical Office Receptionist Certificate (p. 163) - Beginning spring, 2008: ITSW 1301 will be removed from this certificate.
Medical Front Office Specialist Certificate, Medical Administrative Assistant Certificate, and Medical Office Administrator AAS (pages 163-164) - Beginning spring, 2008: ITSW 1301 and POFM 1302 will both be required courses for these programs rather than taking one or the other as currently listed in the 07/08 catalog. It's recommended that POFM 1302 be taken in the first year, second semester.
Surgical Technology (p. 168) - Remove the following statement: "Graduates will be eligible to take the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification examination to become Certified Surgical Technologists (CST).
Welding Technology AAS (p. 175) - Beginning spring, 2008: KINE will be required (any physical activity course).
Inspection Technology AAS (p. 175) - Beginning spring, 2008: KINE will be required (any physical activity course).
