Ceramics Class Supplies
The student should buy a bag of Balcones White and a bag of Balcones Dark. Both clays can be bought at the same time or the student can buy just one at first and then the other as needed. They can be bought at the Cermac's Store in Houston or at their online store which is at: http://store.ceramicstoreinc.com/stco10clar.html. Balcones is a good plastic clay, excellent for throwing or hand building. The clay fires off-white in oxidation and light brown in reduction. It is available in white (Balcones White) or with extra iron (Balcones Dark). Both the Balcones White and the Balcones Dark are $22.50 per 50 lbs.
