Gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD) is the most common gastrointestinal disorder of the western world. An estimated 44 percent of adults in the U.S. have some level of acid reflux on a monthly basis. Learn about GERD - its symptoms, foods and conditions that may bring episodes on, and treatments, including minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery as treatment for those not responding to other treatments to control their disease. This course is designed to introduce the basics of Windows operating system including basic mouse operation; formatting, saving, and deleting files. Students will learn to safely download attachments and items from the internet. Students will learn two unique programs within Windows XP: WordPad to create, save, edit and print a document, and Paint Brush to create, edit and print a graphic. Using My Computer and Windows Explorer, you will have an opportunity to view, create, move and delete files and folders as well as create shortcuts on the desktop. A workshop for those who have completed the beginner class or who have a basic understanding of playing in Ionian. Explore and enjoy the many voices of the dulcimer. Build on techniques such as rhythm strum, harmony and chord patterns, and add new techniques including left hand embellishments, flat picking and finger picking.
