Early voting for the Lone Star College System Board of Trustees and proposed bond referendum began April 28, at 185 early voting locations and will continue through May 6. Election day is May 10.
The bond referendum includes the proposed sale of up to $420 million in bonds for new instructional facilities, renovations to existing facilities, upgrades to the technology infrastructure, student safety and security measures and new learning sites.
College financial advisors have said the system can fund the bond proposal with no increase in the tax rate.
Fourteen local residents filed to run for the LSCS Board of Trustees.

This includes all territory within the boundaries of the following independent school districts: Aldine, Conroe, Cy-Fair, Humble, Klein, Willis, Magnolia, New Caney, Spring, Splendora and Tomball.
