MMI Mission Statement

What is the Minority M.A.L.E. Initiative?

Motivation and Achievement through Leadership and Education

MMI Flier (PDF)

It is a tool for promoting counseling, testing, tutoring, academic advisement, financial aid, job placement, mentoring, and personal growth while simultaneously enhancing the student's academic standing in the classroom.

It is a comprehensive Student Success initiative targeting students currently making the transition from high school into the Lone Star College System, and ultimately into a four-year institution. All information and activities are included for use with parents.

The Minority M.A.L.E. Initiative is a college experience providing participants:

• Knowledge of and Access to LSCS resources
• Mentoring
• Tutoring
• Networking within the LSCS community and partnering 4-yr institutions
• Personal Growth Workshops
• Transitional Support

Who is Eligible?
