Desktop Management
- An inventory of all desktop hardware and software is maintained via Alitis Deployment Console
- ServiceDesk or Desktop personnel utilize Altiris for remote connectivity to end user systems for remote troubleshooting capabilities
- Desktop images and software packages are created and pushed utilizing Altiris Deployment Console
- All end-users have power-user permission on their local desktop, however, local Administrator permission is reserved for support personnel only
- Desktop OS patching and updating will be performed every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6pm. However, critical updates may warrant installation outside of this schedule.
- Desktop Bios Updates will be installed during machine deployment and will be updated as needed

Enterprise Connectivity Support
System Office OTS is responsible for providing safe and secure connectivity to the Internet and intranet (connectivity between campuses and the district office). System Office OTS ensures operability of the physical fiber link as well as the management of said link. Each campus has a core switch that links that campus to the district-wide intranet. These switches/routers are maintained and managed by System Office OTS. System Office maintains a corporate firewall between our internal network and the public Internet to ensure the safety of our data.
