Distribution List
Employees may be added to the employee distribution list at their campus location. However, this is not an automated process and the user will need to request to be added by contacting the System Office Service Desk.

Distribution Lists Guidelines:
Sending e-mail to the All Employees Distribution list requires permission from Ron Stauss.
To request permission to send to a student distribution list, you will need to contact the President at your campus.
To be added to an additional distribution list other than the campus in which you are employed, please contact your Local Service Desk.
Removal From Distribution List:
To keep distribution lists updated, please contact the person designated as the owner of that distribution list to have your name removed.
Creating Personal Distribution Lists:
- Log into Outlook.
- Go to tools on the Outlook toolbar.
- Click on address book.
- The address book text box appears on the screen.
- On the tool bar click file and then new entry.
- Highlight New Distribution.
- Choose where you want to put this Distribution list.
- Then click okay.
- A new text box appears on the screen (untitled - Distribution list).
- Name the distribution list.
- Then click on select members. If you want to create a distribution list with employees from the college highlight Global Address List.
- In the Type Name or Select from list text, type the name of the person you would like to add to the distribution list.
- If there is more than one person with the same name, scroll down until you find the person's name. Highlight the name and click add to add to the Distribution list.
- Then click okay.
NOTE: Contacts may be added using the Global Distribution List, your Personal Address Book, or Contacts.
To add a contact to a distribution list from Contacts, the contact must already be created in contacts prior to assigning it in the Distribution list.
Once you add all the members to the Distribution list Save and close the Distribution list.
The Distribution list will show under Contacts if that is where you put the Distribution list.
To add a new member to the Distribution list:
- Double-click on your Distribution List.
- Click on Add new Member.
- The add New Member Text box appears on the screen.
The text box asks for the following information:
- Display name: EX: John Doe
- E-mail Address: EX: johndoe@lonestar.edu
- Address Type: EX: Internet Address
- Place a check mark in add to contacts if the person is not already listed in your contacts.
- Then click okay.
If the person is already listed in your contacts, then click okay. Be sure to click on save and close on the tool bar before you exit the contacts screen.
To remove a contact from a distribution list:
- Click on your contacts folder.
- Double-click the distribution list.
- Highlight the contact to be removed.
- Click remove.
- Click save and close.
