Adjunct Instructor of Theatre

Courtney Young is an adjunct Professor at Lone Star College-Montgomery and University of Houston. She completed her MFA in Voice Studies from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and BA from University of Utah. Recent coaching credits include: The Spiritualist (Stages Repertory Theatre), As You Like It (Houston Shakespeare Festival) Somebody/Nobody, Peter Pan, Jekyll and Hyde (LSC-M), Lend Me A Tenor, Dearly Beloved (Crighton Theatre), Something Wicked This Way Comes (Utah Valley University), Steel Magnolias (Provo Theatre Co), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (University of Utah). Ms. Young has been a Guest Artist for the International Thespian Festival since 2009 and is an Editor for the International Dialects of English Archive. She recently directed and voice coached for LSC-Montgomery’s production It’s A Wonderful Life: A Radio Play. Ms. Young also works as a freelance dialect coach for film and television. She recently completed work on a feature film The Hollow, coaching actor James Callis (Battlestar Galactica), William Sadler (Shawshank Redemption, The Blacklist), and Christiane Seidel (Boardwalk Empire), produced by Lisa Bruce (The Theory of Everything) and directed by Miles Doleac. The Hollow is set for release in 2016.
