Registered Student Organizations (RSOs)

Requirements for RSO's to receive Student Life funds starting 2015

RSO's can earn up to $600 in Student Life funds each Fall and Spring semester by completing the requirements below. Funds are transferred from Student Life into club accounts each semester. Club accounts carry over from year to year, and are not zeroed out at the end of each fiscal year.

All of the requirements below are required for RSO's at LSC-North Harris:

Clubs at North Harris can earn up to $600/semester (Fall & Spring only) from the Student Activities Fee for use by the club to meet organizational mission and goals. Outlined below are the guidelines for clubs to follow to earn funds.Note that all Core Requirements must be completed for a club to earn any Student Activities Fee money.


Base Funds - Core Requirements - Fall Semester $200
Toreceiveany funds, clubs must complete ALL of the following:
-RSO Application/Registration
-President Agreement Form
-Advisor Agreement Form
-Risk Management Training (Advisor attends training at Advisor Meeting, at least 2 Officersreceivetrainingat RSO Workshop, information shared with members atclub meeting.)
-Membership Roster (due the Friday of Finals Week)

Base Funds - Core Requirements - Spring Semester $200
To receive any funds, clubs must complete ALL of the following:
-RSO Application/Registration (if club completed this in the Fall, it does not need to bere-submitted, unless there are changes in any information)
-President Agreement Form (unless completed in the Fall)
-Advisor Agreement Form (unless completed in the Fall)
-Risk Management Training (unless completed in the Fall)
-Membership Roster (due the Friday of Finals Week)
-RSO Year-End Report (due May 31)

Additional Funds - Fall & Spring Semester $400
Clubs can earn funds above the base amount each Fall and Spring semester by completing thefollowing:
-Attend SGA Meetings (4/semester at $50/meeting=$200)
-Participate in Involvement Fair (2 days at $50/day=$100)
-Complete a community service project (must submit Event Registrationformforapproval by Student Life ($100))


All of the requirements below are required for RSO's at centers and locations connected to LSC-North Harris (Greenspoint, Victory, HPB, Chi):

Clubs at Victory Center, Greenspoint Center, CHI, and Health Professions Building can earn up to $600/semester (Fall & Spring only) from the Student Activities Fee for use by the club to meet organizational mission and goals. Outlined below are the guidelines for clubs to follow to earn funds.Note that all Core Requirements must be completed for a club to earn any Student Activities Fee money.

Additional Funds - Fall & Spring Semester $400
Clubs can earn funds above the base amount each Fall andSpring semester by completing the following:
- Attend SGA Meetings, (participate in meetings via Skype, or President verifies that minutes have been read and shares relevant information with RSO members(4/semester at $50/meeting=$200))
- Host membership recruitment event each semester ($50)
- Assist with 1 Student Life event each semester (must planin advance withCoordinator, Student Life and have a minimum of 5 members for duration of event) ($50)
- Complete a community service project (must submitEvent Registration form for approval by Student Life ($100))
