SH 249 Construction Updates

Check here for updates about road construction near the LSC-Tomball campus on SH 249.

23 March 2017

Beginning tomorrow, Friday, March 24, at 8 p.m., the south entrance to campus (the one nearest the library) will be closed for utility installation. This entrance will remain closed through the weekend and will reopen on Monday, March 27, at 5 a.m.

The north entrance (at Zion Rd) will remain open all weekend to allow access to the campus.
Please continue to be mindful of the workers and equipment coming in and out of the drives.

Use caution if you find yourself near areas where work is taking place and observe all warning signs that might be posted.

We will continue to provide information to you via these updates as we know it.

21 March 2017

The lot clearing is almost complete on either side of campus, as well as at the front along SH 249. Crews will now begin the process of digging and re-locating utility lines.

We’d like to request that drivers use caution when entering campus via either entrance, but particularly the north (Zion Road) entrance. There are workmen and work vehicles present near the entrances for most of the day. Drive slowly, be considerate of these folks, and be aware of the fact that circumstances in these areas are in constant flux and require your extreme vigilance.

Use caution if you find yourself near areas where work is taking place and observe all warning signs that might be posted.

We will continue to provide information to you via these updates as we know it.

7 March 2017

Beginning the evening of Friday, March 10, the north entrance to the main LSC-Tomball campus (at Zion Road) will be closed and will remain closed for the entire week of Spring Break.  Much heavy-truck traffic will be moving in and out of the area at that time. The entrance will be open again by the re-opening of school on the morning of Monday, March 20.

The South entrance will remain open for library traffic.

Please use extreme caution if you find yourself near areas where work is taking place and observe all warning signs that might be posted.

We will continue to provide information to you via these updates as we know it.
