LSC-North Harris honors its veterans

HOUSTON (November 5, 2018) – Lone Star College-North Harris takes time each year to honor its military veterans and their families. This year, two events are slated to celebrate and recognize veteran students and those who support them.

On Thursday, Nov. 8, Student Life and the LSC-North Harris Activities Team (A-Team) will host an informal, outdoor celebration recognizing veteran students and staff. Students and staff are encouraged to stop by the LSC-North Harris Courtyard between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. for light appetizers and desserts, a free military-style dog tag, flag and veterans pins.

On Friday, Nov. 9, the Student Veteran Organization will host a luncheon in Student Services Building, Room 208, from noon – 2 p.m. The event will include guest speakers, lunch and moments honoring LSC-North Harris veterans and families. Please visit LoneStar.edu/northharrisveterans to RSVP.

LSC-North Harris aims to ensure veteran success as they matriculate through college and enter into the workforce.
