Meet the Special Assistant to the President 

Dr. Abraham Korah became part of the LSC-CyFair family in 2011. He enjoyed helping students grow and develop in his role as associate professor and Honors College Librarian. Now in his new role, the impact on students may look a little different, but he believes it will be positive for an even greater number of students.

As Special Assistant to the President, he will be operating at a more macro level in terms of supporting the administration and our college mission. What our college can provide to the community is just so vast. As an open enrollment institution, everyone has an opportunity to achieve their goal in higher education whether it is a certificate, technical training, an associate degree or to transfer to a four-year university.

Dr. Korah has more than 20 years of higher education experience, which includes community college teaching, research instruction, internship/career development, and organizational development. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Northern Iowa, a Master of Science in Library Information Science from the University of North Texas, a Master of Business Administration in Management from Sam Houston State University, a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from New York University, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University.

Married with three children, he is someone who has always been inquisitive and interested in learning.
