The North Harris Montgomery Community College District Foundation, as an independent 501(c)(3) Type I corporation, secures, invests and disburses unrestricted and restricted assets to continually enrich and advance the excellence of the academic and scholarship programs of the Lone Star College System.
Created in 1991, the Foundation has expanded its initial investment of $20,000 into an extensive portfolio of $8,400,000. Last year (2006-2007), the Foundation awarded approximately $450,000 in scholarships for students and $200,000 in program funds throughout the System.
With productive investments, the Foundation presently utilizes 170 endowed scholarship accounts, with 50 pledged endowments in progress. In partnership with the Lone Star College System, the Foundation annually funds grant programs, which provide creative and unique educational opportunities for approximately 2,000 employees.
The Foundation seeks philanthropic commitments from individuals, companies, organizations and corporations, throughout our educational region. We seek your involvement, because you DO make the difference!
