University Center

  • The University Center provides the opportunity for all students in the Lone Star College System service area to complete baccalaureate or graduate degrees.
  • Lone Star College System colleges offer freshman and sophomore level courses which seamlessly transfer to partner universities. This includes articulation of AA, AS, and AAS degrees.
  • The six partner universities at The University Center, Prairie View A&M, Sam Houston State, Texas A&M, Texas Southern, University of Houston and University of Houston-Downtown, offer programs that are unique and unduplicated.
  • The 60 programs currently available include 27 undergraduate degrees, 29 graduate degrees, 2 doctoral degrees and 2 post-baccalaureate programs in teacher certification.
  • Costs are shared by the partner universities, based on instructional services and facility use.
  • Advanced technology and telecommunications provide innovative and effective methods to deliver instructional services and essential on-site student support.
  • Each year hundreds of business and community participants attend conferences, workshops and special events on the campus of The University Center.
