WHERE

The Reading & Writing tutoring area is located on the South end of the 2nd floor of the Learning Commons (Library) at the Barker-Cypress campus.

WHAT WE DO

We offer free one-on-one and group tutoring on a drop-in basis. This tutoring is available to Lone Star College–CyFair students and members of the local community of high school age and above.  Please refer to our Reading & Writing Tutoring Schedule for detailed schedule information.

HOW OUR TUTORS CAN HELP YOU

• The main responsibility of our tutors is to help students with assignments related to their coursework.
• Our tutors will also refer students to useful computer programs and books in the Tutoring Area and the Library as a continuation of or follow-up activity to the tutoring session.
• Our tutors can recommend web sites that explain and practice different aspects of English (grammar, pronunciation, writing, etc.).

OTHER SERVICES

The Tutoring Program presents workshops and other learning activities. Please check the campus closed-circuit t.v., your instructor, and campus information boards for times, dates, locations.
