2007 Poster Contest Official Rules
Theme: “Global Change: Political, Philosophical, Physical”
Examples of subjects appropriate for this theme include but are not limited to world peace, pollution, international partnerships, global education, health, poverty, science, shifting borders, women’s issues. Within the general theme of “Global Change,” all subjects in the humanities are welcome.
Prizes:
1st Place, $100; 2nd place, $75; 3rd place, $50.
Judging Criteria:
- The poster theme “Global Change: Political, Philosophical, Physical” is addressed
- Contest guidelines, including deadline for submission are met
- Message is clearly and persuasively conveyed
- Creativity and originality
- Artistic quality
Poster Contest Guidelines:
- Contest is open to individual students attending a community college in the state of Texas during the spring of 2007.
- Printed size of submission must not be larger than 24” x 36”.
- All artwork must be original.
- Artwork must be submitted digitally and be of quality suitable for laser printing and display at the International Education Conference April 20, 2007.
- For purposes of blind judging, the artist’s name and college must not appear on the image.
- The artist’s name, college, and contact information must be included in an email message with the submission included as an attachment.
Deadline:
Entries must be emailed as jpg attachments to the person and office named below no later than midnight Friday, March 30, 2007:
