Overview
This document specifies the services and minimum service levels to be provided by Lone Star College System IT. This services model places central IT in the role of describing, designing, and providing services to be delivered in a manner as close to a utility service as possible. It is impossible for IT to support all systems for all people; hence our goal is to support a reasonable, and not overly restrictive, number of systems and services. This document addresses to service areas offered by IT, Core Information Technology Services and Professional Services.
The purpose of this document is to define the core information technology services provided by Lone Star College System IT and define the supported configurations and the agreed-upon support expectations for the services provided. The Lone Star College System community includes faculty, staff, administration, and current students. In order to successfully provide support for these services, standard hardware and software requirements are listed in this document. Consult with IT for minimum configurations before purchasing equipment and software. Equipment and software not listed in this document will get a lower priority for service or no service at all. System Office IT is not bound by performance expectations and response commitments stated within this document.
