If you or your school district is interested in establishing a local course articulation agreement with one of LSCS workforce education courses, please review these instructions and complete the application below, then forward the requested materials to: courtney.k.powell@lonestar.edu.
Instructions for Requesting a Local Course Articulation Contract:
1. Provide a resume on the instructor(s) for the course to be reviewed or complete Part I of the application. If your ISD has multiple teachers for a particular subject, then please provide their education and work credentials in a spreadsheet type format. We are required to verify credentials as meeting SACS requirements before establishing an agreement to award college credit for a high school course.
2. Complete Part II of the application which identifies the course(s) you are interested in for college credit as well as the degree(s) that offer the course(s). This information can be found in the online catalogue. Please take the time to investigate this information; it will speed up the review process tremendously.
3. Please provide the following information and anything in addition so that our faculty can clearly understand what you are teaching in your course:
· Scope and Sequence or Syllabus
· Number of hours spent on each competency
Example: Chapter 1 topics – 1 week – 5days – 53m/day = 4.4 hours
· List of books and other materials (we do not need the actual book)
Methods of assessment, i.e. projects, exams, papers, presentations
