NOT TO BE MISSED! The 34,000,000 – 248,000,000 mile journey
As NASA scientists near completion of the next Mars Rover set to launch in November 2011, LSC-North Harris is honored to host Todd Barber, Mars Exploration Rovers (MER) Propulsion Engineer direct from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California. Barber holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
In "Todd Takes Us to Mars," Barber will present an insider’s view on what it takes to create, launch, navigate and land the Mars Rover. How and when would we send a manned mission to Mars? What are we trying to find? Is there life on Mars?
