Students are accepted into the program on a competitive basis.  Students accepted into the program are those who score highest on the Applicant Scoring Sheet established by the program admissions committee.

The following items are REQUIRED to apply to the Surgical Technology program.  They should be completed during the application window (January through April).

The following items are OPTIONAL.  Students can earn additional points on the applicant scoring sheet by submitting the following:

  • Proof of required immunizations/titers. Upload to your CastleBranch Medical Document Manager.
  • Proof of CPR. Required course is American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals. Upload to your CastleBranch Medical Document Manager.
  • Biosketch which contains information related to your life preparation for this program, previous work experience and/or relevant certifications. Upload to the program application.

Students only need to upload the physical exam form, immunization records and CPR card to the CastleBranch Medical Document Manager.  Students do NOT need to upload other requirements listed (proof of health insurance, TB test, flu shot or the program forms).  If the student is accepted into the program, these items will be required at a later date.
