The Student Ambassadors Program recruits new Ambassadors during the summer to serve for the upcoming school year. At this time, all positions are filled. If you are interested in applying, please submit your application before August 20, 2012 for the 2012-2013 school year.
Position Description:
The Student Ambassadors program gives a select group of students the opportunity to represent LSC-Kingwood throughout the Fall, Spring and Summer terms both on-campus and in the community. Student Ambassadors maintain thorough knowledge of the college, give campus tours, greet and usher guests at formal events, and build relationships with students and potential students. These students gain valuable work experience by improving leadership and communication skills and working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to arrive on time to all commitments
- Good organizational skills
- Positive attitude toward campus and others
Qualifications:
- Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours
- Student must have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA
- Student must be available to commit 40 hours per semester
- Student must be available to commit some weekends and evening events
