Art Scholarships

As a focus on foot health, Dr. Robert E. Neville and Associates, Medical and Surgical Specialists of the Foot and Ankle provided Lone Star College-Montgomery with five scholarships. These scholarships were in the amounts of $500.00, $400.00, $300.00, $200.00 $100.00 and five honorable mention $25 to be used towards tuition. Any LSC-Montgomery student may enter this scholarship program.

The criterion for the scholarship award is the creation of the depiction of the foot (or feet) in any media such as painting, drawing, collage, printmaking, digital imagery, photography or sculpture. Art work must be properly signed, mounted and/or matted. 

Winners will also be featured and displayed in the community for the coming year to recognize the selected artists and their projects.

The group of entries that are award winners  will also be displayed throughout Houston for a period of one year and then may be reclaimed by the artist.

Deadline for submissions is November 13, 2008 at 5pm. Students should fill out an application available at Art Department offices Bldg. F236 and Bldg. C231  and attach it to the artwork. Award winners will be contacted by phone or email.  Entries should be delivered to Robby Wood, office C231 by the deadline. Late entries or entries not properly matted or mounted will not be accepted.
