Primarily performs support duties. Requires knowledge of practices/processes of area or department. Typical duties include receiving visitors/phone calls, read/route incoming mail, provide directions, assist customers, make meeting arrangements, maintain schedules, prepares reports and correspondence using computer software.

May be in person or through phone inquires. Activities are generally non-routine and require independent judgment to resolve issues. Position refers problems to experts as needed. Primary responsibility involves customer satisfaction with resolution. May track and document problems and report on information. May be responsible for compliance issues and state reporting. May process payroll for a department. May suggest policy/procedure changes in response to problems. Generally requires specialized training on technical systems as well as problem solving.
