ATCP Admissions
Admissions into the Lone Star College-Tomball Alternative Teacher Certification Program will require that all applicants must:
- Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a 2.5 GPA and 24 credit hours in content area, of which 12 are in upper division.
- Meet the program requirements for Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA) scores; minimum scores: Reading 240, Math 270, Writing 240. Taken within the last five years.
- Have US citizenship or be a permanent resident
- Successfully complete a criminal background check by approved field experience sites
- You are required to notify our ATCP department if you are arrested or convicted of any offense after placement in your field experience site.
- Successfully complete a personal interview
