Eric has been involved in educational, community, and professional theatre for the past 33 years. His theatrical work has been seen in Texas, New Mexico, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and California. He has toured with concert productions across the United States and Canada and abroad in Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, France, and Italy.Some of his memorable roles have been: The Lecturer (Reefer Madness), Office Lockstock (Urinetown, the Musical), Hysterium (Forum), Bud Frump (How to Succeed in Business…), Roger Hopewell (Musical Comedy Murder of 1940s), Prior Walter (Angels in America: Millennium Approaches), Vernon Gersch (They’re Playin’ Our Song), Matt Friedman (Talley’s Folly), Rapunzel’s Prince/The Wolf (Into the Woods), and the Voice of Audrey II (Little Shop of Horrors).
He is a guest vocalist for the Kingwood Big Band and the Kingwood Pops Orchestra. He is also frequently seen as an emcee for events at Lonestar College-Kingwood and the Kingwood-Humble-Atascocita area.
Eric earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting & Directing from Texas Tech University in 2003. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Music Education. He taught theatre, music, art, and speech in the Texas Public Schools for 7 years - teaching all levels from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
He is a co-author of “Acting Across the Disciplines” - a textbook designed for beginning actors. It teaches acting concepts that are applicable to everyday life in the classroom, boardroom, church, or any public speaking venue.
Eric is currently in his fifth year as Artistic Director & Professor or Theatre at Kingwood College.
