I’m the one on the white horse (I guess it didn’t like me!).

I have been teaching at Lone Star College – Tomball (previously known as North Harris Montgomery Community College District, Tomball College) for several years (some of which I served as the department chair). Prior to that I was the Director for Articulation Services for the NHMCCD for five years.

The rest of my work history was in El Paso, TX, where I grew up and went to the University of Texas at El Paso for both my bachelors and masters degrees. Some of my occupations while there included university professor, director for Tech Prep, articulation coordinator, interim department dean, etc.

I was married to my university sweetheart and between us we have three children; all grown and on their own. My wonderful husband passed away February 17, 2009 from lung cancer.

One unique feature about me is that I always have “weird” finger nails. When you see me, you’ll know what I’m talking about.

My hobbies include volunteering at my church, family and friends, jazzercise/yoga, my Beagle Ethel, crocheting, yard work (not necessarily in that order).  Of course, I also enjoy teaching which was my life-long ambition.
