Contract Compliance

The Office of the General Counsel is responsible for reviewing all contracts for Lone Star College System. All contracts will be reviewed for compliance with System Policies, applicable laws of the State of Texas and all applicable federal laws.  Upon review, appropriate changes may be recommended to the contract.


This Office of the General Counsel provides contract compliance training.  The training includes a review of existing laws of the State of Texas and System Policies, and the proper use of contractual instruments, including standard and non-standard agreements.

You may download the training presentation or you may contact the Office of the General Counsel to request training for a department or other group of Lone Star College employees.  It is recommended that you view the presentation prior to attending training so that you are familiar with the process and have noted questions that you may have.
