Instructional Technology Certification Program (ITCP)

ITCP was specifically designed for college instructors who wish to infuse technology-rich, engaging lessons, learning activities, and teaching materials into their classrooms.  Go through nine 3-hour instructional sessions, and one presentation session where all they have an opportunity to share what they learned throughout the program.

Adjunct Certification Program (ACP)


ACP offers adjunct instructors an opportunity to further develop teaching philosophy and educational tools. Dinner is provided and participants receive a stipend.
 
The purpose of the Adjunct Certification Program is to recognize and reward adjunct faculty members who make a commitment to the System. The program provides opportunities for adjunct faculty members to improve their teaching skills and enhance their teaching effectiveness. Goals of the Adjunct Certification Program include providing support and encouragement for adjunct faculty members in an atmosphere of free expression and mutual respect and the exploration of new teaching and learning techniques and ideas.

The goals of the Adjunct Certification Program are:

  • To provide support and encouragement for adjunct faculty members.
  • To provide an atmosphere of free expression and mutual respect.
  • To build on what adjuncts know, understand, and are able to do.
  • To encourage the practice and adaptation of new teaching and learning techniques and ideas.

What is the GRIT Certification Program?
Through the GRIT Certification Program, faculty will learn how to create a classroom experience grounded in grit and growth mindset. Over the course of one semester, faculty will attend 6 sessions, earning 12-15 professional development hours, and they will demonstrate their understanding of creating a gritty classroom experience through various assignments and a capstone project.
