Associate of Arts: Field of Study in Criminal Justice (AA)

Summary

The Field of Study curriculum is designed to satisfy the lower division requirements for a bachelor’s degree in a specific area at four-year colleges in the state of Texas*. Credits earned in Field of Study curriculum transfer to other four year colleges in the state of Texas.

*Field of Study completion does not guarantee admission to a four-year institution in the state of Texas.

Community Colleges in Texas under regulation by the Higher Education Coordinating Board have developed pathways for Texas 4-year universities and colleges where a bachelor’s degree is required by the employer. We refer to that pathway as a Field of Study, General Education.

Associate of Arts Degree

An Associate of Arts is an academic transfer degree designed for students who will ultimately be pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree at a four-year college/university that is not math or science oriented. Examples of this type of four-year degree are: Business, Liberal Arts, History, Speech, Music, Education, Criminal Justice, etc.

Tuition

Average full-time tuition is $800 per semester.
