Professional:
David McKenery has served as an adjunct professor of music at LSC Montgomery since 2004. He has taught a variety of courses including Popular Songwriting, Electronic Music, Music Appreciation, Music Fundamentals, Music History and Class Piano. David has also served as Music Director and Keyboard artist for the musicals at LSC Montgomery in recent years, as well as productions at local high schools and community theatre. David is the Executive Director for Northwoods School of the Arts with locations in The Woodlands and Conroe (www.NorthWoodsArts.com). Northwoods offers private music instruction, both voice and instrumental, as well as classes in art, drama and ballroom dance. David serves as Associate Music Minister and Orchestra Director at The First Baptist Church of Conroe. He is certified all level music instructor (EC-12) and has served as a choral director for middle school, high school and church choirs. Additionally, David is band leader for The SpiritWind Praise band of Houston and has worked with several leading artists in the Nashville area composing and recording contemporary Christian music. David is band leader for The DJ Mac Dance Band & Big Band of The Woodlands providing entertainment for receptions and corporate events(www.djmac.biz). Additionally David is involved with accompanying choir and band students for UIL Solo & Ensemble, as well as other school related competitions and special events. David has also served as pianist and organist for Region 9 Choral Concerts. He is a member of The Texas Music Educators Assoc., American Guild of Organists, National Federation of Music Clubs, Conroe Jazz & More Society, Choristers Guild, & Nashville Songwriters Association.
