1 Discussed meeting on 10/31/08. Discussed what counsel had to say.
 
2 Discussed price increase for C.N.A. testing.

3 SJones shared information she had researched. Discussed other college systems how they have designated C.N.A. Program Director for the system. HCC & Alvin have this set up. 

Lone Star College System - each college has separate state number with DADS.

 TACE regional meeting at Lee College. 
 Liz will update us after she attends.
 
5 New programs:

LSC-CF starting Mammography starting Fall 2009. Looking into clinical.

LSC-KW starting CNOR - prep class for test to be Certified Operating Room Nurse. 36 hours Spring 2009. 
  
 
6 How to pay clinical phlebotomy, clinical dental?

Need job description about clinical instructor expectations.

Web entry for clinical instructors. Need to be trained in web entry.
  
 
7 Discussed requirements for C.N.A. state testing. Limit on # students test each day. State tester sets the limits.

8 Discussed High School partnerships. Go to HS campus. Go to college campus. Restrictions by the state?

9 ESL students - send to ESL first then come back for C.N.A. won't be able to function in the workplace without communication skills.

10 CPR supply fee for the card. How is it collected?

Does instructor bring mannequin or college has mannequin on site? 

11 EMT Basic does not transfer to credit. Good for getting a job now not for EMT.
  
 
12 C.N.A. is required for many of the BSN and premed. But LSCS is not requiring it in Associate Degree. This should be discussed with credit.
  
 
13 DADS -background checks are now required.  

FERPA compliance? Need to provide info to clinical sites
