Erich Schmalhorst

I was born in San Antonio, Texas but spent my early years in Mexico City. I attended high school in San Antonio and went on to the University of Texas at Austin, where I received my BFA in studio art, a BA in Spanish and French, and an MFA in studio art. I have taught Art at the University of Texas as a TA, and as an adjunct at San Antonio College, Valencia College in Orlando, and at Lone Star College (Kingwood and Tomball campuses). I have exhibited my work at the University of Texas at Austin, Koehler Center at San Antonio College, the faculty shows at Kingwood College, and numerous galleries in San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and Boerne. My art is in private collections in the US, Mexico, and Nigeria.
