Dr. Britton has a doctorate in Education along with four teaching fields which include Education, Counseling, Psychology, and Sociology. Dr. Britton has been employed at Lone Star College since 2001 and is an accomplished author.
 

Purpose and Scope of Current Position: As the Director of Instructional Quality and Accreditation Compliance, Dr. Britton's role is to ensure that LSC-Houston North is in compliance with SACSCOC, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), U. S. Department of Education, LSC Board of Trustees and Chancellor’s Cabinet decisions, regulations, policies and procedures.

Dr. Britton provides support for all areas of Academics and ensures that areas are meeting the standards of academic quality as it is defined by internal and external experts and accrediting agencies.

Objectives set by the Executive Team of LSC-HN from the strategic plan of the Lone Star College System that will shape the improvement efforts in student success, academic, workforce, programs of quality, financial responsibility, culture, and partnerships. On-going evaluation processes for the continuous- improvement of teaching, learning initiatives and services.
