The Honors College at LSC-Montgomery offers a wide range of opportunities for high achieving students, from incoming freshman seeking to graduate with an Honors AA or Honors AS degree, to students pursuing Honors distinction upon graduation, to students simply interested in earning individual honors course credit. It provides opportunities to improve students' academic standing and transferability by earning honors academic credit with faculty mentors across a broad range of disciplines.
Each year, the Honors College at LSC-Montgomery accepts applications from area high school students for our Chancellor's Honors College Fellows program. Students selected for this award receive a two-year scholarship to pursue an Honors AA or AS degree. The Honors College Fellows curriculum is comprised of a four semester course of study, including a minimum of 27 honors credit hours, culminating in an Honors AA or AS. It includes two six-hour learning community blocks taken during the first two semester, as well as a second-year international capstone experience.
