The Honors College at LSC-Montgomery offers a wide range of opportunities for high achieving students, from incoming freshman seeking to graduate with an Honors AA or Honors AS degree, to students pursuing Honors distinction upon graduation, to students simply interested in earning individual honors course credit. The Honors College offers opportunities to improve students' academic standing and transferability by enrollment in honors sections and honors by contract with faculty mentors across a broad range of disciplines.Honors coursework engages and challenges students inside and outside the classroom through small classes and close interaction with dedicated faculty. Additional opportunities to enrich your college experience, by participating in The Honors College, include travel, co-curricular activities, off-campus educational and cultural events, service learning opportunities, conferences and special seminars.

Chancellor's Honors College Fellows

Each year, the Honors College at LSC-Montgomery accepts applications from area high school students for twenty slots in our Chancellor's Honors College Fellows program. Students selected for this award receive a two-year scholarship to pursue an Honors AA or AS degree. The Honors College Fellows curriculum is comprised of a four semester course of study, including a minimum of 27 honors credit hours,culminating in an Honors AA or AS. The curriculum includes two six-hour learning community blocks taken during the first two semester, as well as a second-year international capstone experience.

Fellows receive the benefits of The Honors College at LSC-Montgomery, plus:
  • Honors Associate Degree (AA or AS)
  • Scholarship Package:
    • Tuition/Fees (up to 15 in-district credit hours/semester)
    • Stipend (up to $600 per semester)
    • Book Allowance ($600 per semester)
