  • Encyclopedia of Artists - REF 709.22 Enc
    This very useful six-volume set provides two-page biographies of major artists with an analysis of an important work. Viewing this set is worth a trip to the library to see how to analyze an artwork.
  • Grove Dictionary of Art - REF 703 Dic or online (see database link above).  If you are accessing the library's electronic resources from home, you will need your library card barcode number to log in. This multivolume encyclopedia of artists and their works is a good place to get basic information about your artist. You can look up your artist or find an artwork.
