- Houston World Affairs Council (HWAC)
Web site of a local organization of 3000 members concerned about world affairs and U.S. foreign policy. Activities include programs, travel, educational outreach activities, great discussions series and more.
- Institute of International Education (IIE)
Administers the Fulbright Program and promotes study abroad and educational exchange. Site includes links to some of IIE's publications.
- International Studies Association
Promotes the study of international affairs. Web page includes links to archives of conference papers and a Directory of Internet Resources.
- NAFSA: Association of International Educators
Includes links to U.S. International Education policy, statistics, and information about professional development opportunities such as workshops on countries and cultures.
- Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (SIETAR-USA)
Information on annual conference and membership details. Links to SIETAR affiliates around the world, including SIETARHouston, with announcement of local programs on intercultural topics.
- Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM)
The International Education grant includes plans to offer a diploma of Mexican Studies in partnership with UNAM.

The gateway to a wealth of information: news, documents, photos, publications and much more. Main topical divisions: Peace & Security, Economics & Social Development, Human Rights, Humanitarian Affairs, International Law. Parts of the site can be viewed in any of the official languages of the UN: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish.

Holdings are listed by county. Circulating items may be checked out. Instructional items may be viewed by students in the Library's Reserve Room on the 2nd floor.

Web site from the U.S. Dept. of Education and State Dept. to publicize activities of IE Week held in November. Updated gradually with information for current year. When complete, previous year's information archived on the site.
