- Fed Stats - Gateway to statistics from over 100 U. S. Federal Agencies.
- FedWorld - National Technical Information Service's (NTIS) searchtool for locating government information, especially good for locating technical reports.
- USA.gov - billed as "the official government gateway"
- Google's Government Search
- Government Infomine Search - maintained by the University of California, Infomine aims to be a "comprehensive showcase, virtual library and reference tool containing highly useful Internet/Web resources." Site allows searching by keyword, title, author, and subject.
- GovSpot - categorical arrangement of government-related sites. Site includes "site of the week", lists, and sites for currently popular topics.
- TRAIL - Texas Records & Information Locator Service, maintained by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.
- SearchGov.com - includes directory of executive and independent agencies. Also provides directory with links to some state and local government resources
