Access to Computers
Government document CD-ROMs may be accessed on all library computers and are available for use by all community, student, faculty and staff library patrons.
Printing from Computers
Users can print from any library computer (10 cents per page) and can download electronic government information.

Lone Star College-North Harris Library attempts to obtain hardware that meets its patronâ€™s needs and the latest "Recommended Specifications for Public Access Work Stations in Federal Depository Libraries" as published annually in Administrative Notes. Hardware and software upgrades are subject to the college's budget process.
Electronic Product Availability
Lone Star College-North Harris Library makes tangible electronic products and services (e.g. CD-ROMs, floppy disks) which we select available to the general public in a timely manner. Appropriate titles are loaded on aÂ computer or server. Other titles are available for circulation.
Temporary Storage of Electronic Information
Lone Star College-North Harris Library allows users to temporarily store government information that has been downloaded from the Internet. Before downloading, a reference librarian must be consulted. Downloading must not interfere with the operating system and other programs installed on the computer.
Lone Star College-North Harris Library allows documents to be downloaded. Information can also be delivered by email.
All Lone Star College-North Harris Librarians provide reference assistance for electronic government information. Help guides, instruction sheets, and pathfinders are available for use by all patrons.
