Offered again this year, Lone Star College CyFair (LSC) faculty and students have volunteered to assist low-income wage earners prepare and electronically file (e-file) their tax returns. The volunteer tax assistance program is known as the Facilitated Self Assistance (FSA) tax preparation program offered by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). People who prepare their own tax returns are among the fastest growing segments of taxpayers. Step-by-step interview questions in the tax software make it easier than ever for people to prepare an accurate return. However, access to computers and fast internet connections remains a major barrier for many individuals. Our site provides access to computers, software, a good internet connection and certified volunteers to help you navigate all of it. Our volunteers will sit beside you at a computer as you input your tax information and file your 2018 federal tax returns. As IRS certified volunteers, we are ready to assist you with software or tax questions.
NOTE: Taxes may be filed electronically.
Both spouses must come to file a joint tax return.
