LONE STAR COLLEGE - CYFAIR

  • For teens: ages 11 - 18.
  • Book Club signups begin May 1. Free books for first 10 teens who sign up. Flier in both pdf and Word formats. Only book clubs require signing up, which can be done at the first floor Reference Desk.
  • Summer Reading Program signups: June 4 - August 7. Sign up online at http://hcpl.net/ and pick up your free items at the 1st floor Reference Desk at the Lone Star College - CyFair Branch Library: fluorescent hi-lighter; title/time log; book mark. Read 5 books or 600 minutes and pick up your free items: book; mini-earbuds or USB drive; certificate. Flier with reading requirements for free items.

    • *Pride and Passion: The African American Baseball Experience traveling exhibition based on the exhibition of the same name at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will be on display at the library from July 14 – August 25. Various programs will take place: events featuring Gregory Kenney as Jackie Robinson; carnival; *book clubs (sign up at 1st floor Librarians’ Reference Desk. Free book for first 10 teens who sign up); movie.
    • Creative Writing: Different approach/topic each week. Every Tuesday, 12 - 2pm, library room 131. 
    • *SAT Math Prep Class (day change: Wednesdays to Thursdays): Question breakdown, allowable items, test format, practice timed tests and reviews. Tuesdays and Thursdays (changed from Wednesdays), 10am – 12noon. Library room 131. Free. No sign ups.
