Fall 1978

LRC consultant, Mary Barnes, attends a state conference on Federal documents.

1977

The first in-house procedures for processing government documents are developed.

1976

The Library opens in the Academic Building.

July 1974

Anne Trammell, Director of North Harris County College Library, accepts the designation of that institution by Honorable Robert C. Eckhardt as a depository for U.S. government publications.

January 1974

The North Harris County Junior College District Board of Trustees approve the construction contract for Phase I of the campus building plan. Phase I, scheduled for completion in August, 1975 includes the Academic Building which housedsthe Learning Resource Center.

Fall 1973

Head Librarian, Anne Trammell, opens the North Harris County College Learning Resource Center in the Aldine High School Library with 4,500 books and 125 periodicals.

The Board of Trustees approves naming the new library the Marion H. Donaldson Memorial Library in honor of W.W. Thorne’s longtime secretary.
