September 2016 GroupSpot Grand Opening
Summer 2016 Plagiarism 101 was deployed and piloted.
May 2016 Dry erase vinyl installed on GroupSpot tables.
April 2016 zSpace Station was deployed.

March 2016 VR/Mac stations and Cintiq were deployed.

January 2016 SMARTBoards were inaugurated  and the English 1301 case study started.

November 2015 Library is awarded the following Campus Technology Advisory Council (CTAC) grants: Interactive 3D Holographic Visualization Station, Pop-up Makerspace with Oculus VR, Virtual Reality, Animation, & Graphic Design Mac Studio Lab in Your Library's iMALL with Cintiq tablet.

September 2015 Library Makerspace Grand Opening 
August 2015 Library is awarded a Texas State Library and Archives Commission grant to deploy an i-MALL in the Library
February 2015 Library in partnership with the Career and Applied Technology Division is awarded a Chancellor’s Faculty Technology Innovation grant to deploy a Makerspace in the Library.
December 2014 Library is awarded a CTAC grant to deploy One Button Studio.
January 2014 Norma Drepaul awarded the Teaching Excellence Award.

November 2013

Librarians welcome Christine Ramsey as the new Library Director.

October 2013

Librarians pilot Roving Librarian service usign the library's iPad.

September 2013

Librarians set goals and strategic plans for the coming year.

June 2013

Norma Drepaul creates the Student Library Advisory Group to help bring in student voices to the library. Library implements LibAnalytics to track reference statistics. Librarians take Desire2Learn (D2L) training to understand students' questions.

April 2013

Pradeep Lele announces he will be stepping down as Library Director.

March 2013

Library offers AutoCAD on two student computers.

January 2013

On Januay 22nd, a shooting occurred on the LSC-North Harris campus near the library. Library faculty and staff shepherded students to safety and remained calm until help arrived. Library pilots Accutrak on student computers. Library received iPads for student use.

Karen Parker retires from the library. David Puller receives the Faculty Excellence Award.

December 2012

Norma Drepaul creates templates in MLA and APA format for students' use.

September 2012

Librarians begin interfiling reference books with the general circulating collection for easier access.

May 2012

Library begins Pinerest posts for books.

December 2011

Librarians begin massive weeding of both Reference and Circulating collections.

October 2011

SACS visits the LSC-North Harris campus and library.

June 2011

New Health Science Library is opened at the Health Professions Building on Peakwood.

May 2011

Librarians help develop a system-wide Research Apps & Tools page for distance students. Library computers are migrated to Windows 7 and Office 2010. SiteScripter accounts are set up for maintaining reference statistics.

April 2011

Pradeep Lele returns as Library Director. The Humble Area Genealogical Society collection is moved into our library for easier access by members.

January 2011

Librarians investigate use of SiteScripter for gathering reference statistics. The archives receives System Publications Office photos. Begins indexing them for easier access.

December 2010

David Puller revises the audio library tour using QR codes.

November 2010

Virginia Rigby begins working with the Model UN program.

September 2010

Norma Drepaul sets up system-wide Twitter account.

August 2010

Olia Palmer is asked to be Interim Library Director.

May 2010

Library installed Vision on all library computers.

April 2010

Library participated in the Texas Library Snapshot Day for the first time. Created a Flickr page for the photographs. Finished preliminary name index for the Office of College Services photographs.

March 2010

David Puller was asked to sit on SACS QEP committee.

Library adds SMS messaging as a means of providing reference to our students.
