  • The One Button Studio may only be used to produce videos for lawful and educational purposes.
  • The One Button Studio will not be used to produce or create materials that are:
    • subject to copyright, patent, or trademark protection,
    • in violation of intellectual property rights
    • prohibited by Lone Star College, local state, or federal government
    • unsafe, harmful, dangerous or poses an immediate threat to others,
    • obscene or inappropriate for educational institutions
    • extraneous (videos that will take several hours) to produce
Procedures icon

Before the Appointment

  1. Set up appointment to use the studio by filling out the Makerspace Request form.
  2. Bring an xFAT formatted flash drive with enough free storage to be able to save your video, about 1 gigabyte for 15 minutes of recording. 
  3. Prepare the script or outline for your video, if needed.

On the Appointment Day

  1. Check in at the Reference desk. The librarian will unlock the room.
  2. Set up the space for your recording needs.
  3. Practice your presentation.
  4. Insert your USB drive into the hub.
  5. Press the One Button to start the recording.
  6. Make your performance.
  7. Press the One Button to end your recording.
  8. Wait for the file to be completely processed and saved into your flash drive before removing it from the hub.
  9. Turn off the projector.
  10. Fill out the Makerspace Experience Survey.
  11. Let the librarian at the desk know that you are done with the room.
  12. Access your video recording from any computer in the library for viewing.
  13. Use Adobe Premiere or iMovie to edit your video, if applicable.
