As high school seniors decide their educational journey after graduation, they will also have to think about the costs.
Lone Star College-Kingwood will host “Financial Aid 101: Cash for College” on Tuesday, March 26 from 6-7 p.m. The free event will take place in the Student Conference Center (SCC) room 109. High school seniors and their parents will have an opportunity to meet the financial aid staff, and learn more about the multiple options available to fund their educational goals.
“At the event, financial aid staff will introduce themselves with a brief discussion of their area of expertise and offer any information that might help students through the process,” said Diane Gonzalez, financial aid specialist at LSC-Kingwood.
“Financial Aid 101: Cash for College” presenters will discuss the steps of applying for financial aid at LSC-Kingwood; the standard types of financial assistance that are available; and the requirements of maintaining eligibility for financial aid while taking classes at Lone Star. Since this is an information session only, students are not required to bring any documents.
For high school juniors and their parents, LSC-Kingwood will host “Financial Aid 0100: Early Awareness” on May 7 from 6-7 p.m. in SCC 109.
