LSC-University Park Management and Marketing Department

Management and Marketing Web HeaderStudies in management at Lone Star College-University Park will help prepare students to be first-line supervisors or to hold middle-management positions or other positions requiring leadership and decision-making skills, such as entrepreneur, recreation/country club management trainee, transportation manager, real estate property manager or retail store assistant manager.

Marketing courses will help prepare students to manage customer relations. They also will learn the relationship between marketing and consumer demographics, trends and traditional/nontraditional retailing markets. The courses will identify consumer and organizational needs — economic, psychological, sociological and global. The program also provides a simulated marketing environment for experience in marketing decision-making, which include buyer behavior, budgeting, and regulatory constraints.
