What is Mechatronics?
Mechatronics-a hybrid of Mechanical and Electronics Engineering-can best be described in one word: diversity.
Mechatronics training teaches a combination of skills that result in the ability to perform many different jobs in various industries. Mechatronics equipment integrates electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics and computer control.
Mechatronics technicians are well paid to maintain manufacturing equipment, robots, automated machines, cars, gas pumps, and security systems. Work environments range from clean rooms and manufacturing plants to working in the field where the equipment is located.
