Lone Star College-Montgomery recently hosted a successful panel discussion on plagiarism and artificial intelligence (AI), titled “Synthetic Knowledge: Reframing Plagiarism and Information Literacy in the Age of AI.” The event, facilitated by the Communication Across the Curriculum (CAC) faculty organization, featured speakers who shed light on topics such as information literacy, generative AI, and legal implications.

Lone Star College-Montgomery successfully launched its Neurodiversity Certification Program on January 31, 2024. This program is designed to enhance awareness and support students, through the understanding of neurodevelopmental differences in educational settings.
Lone Star College-Montgomery participates and sponsors the 2023 BEST Robotics competition
Lone Star College-Montgomery recently concluded its BEST Robotics competition of 2023, with teams from local middle and high schools coming together to showcase their skills in this exciting field. The competition was held at Lone Star College-Kingwood on October 28, 2023, and once again exceeded all expectations while providing a platform for robotics students to explore innovative technology in a new way.
Lone Star College-Montgomery Awards $1500 Scholarship to Conroe I.S.D. Students During Football Game
Lone Star College-Montgomery proudly presented four scholarships to Conroe I.S.D. students, consisting of two junior and two senior students from the high schools on Friday, October 20, 2023. The scholarship awards were presented during their home conference game in recognition of outstanding academic achievements and Lone Star College-Montgomery’s commitment to the local school district.

College President
Dr. De' Reese Reid-Hart will be the fifth President of Lone Star College-Montgomery. Dr. Reid-Hart earned a Bachelor of Arts in English/ Pre-Law and a Master of Arts in Education Psychology, both from Eastern Illinois University. She holds a Doctoral degree in Education Leadership from National Louis University in Chicago.
