• LSCS offers free Engineering Tech Assistant program with companies standing by to hire students - January 23, 2012
  HOUSTON (Jan. 23, 2012) – Lone Star College System is offering a new, free program at LSC-University Park beginning on Feb. 20 that will train students to be an engineering technician assistant in just six weeks.  

• LSCS SBDC hires new consultant - January 19, 2012
  HOUSTON (Jan. 19, 2012) – The Lone Star College System Small Business Development Center announced that it has hired Danny Mogollon as its newest consultant. 
• Lone Star College to host Academy for Lifelong Learning open houses - January 11, 2012
  HOUSTON (Jan. 11, 2012) – Lone Star College System is hosting open houses beginning Jan. 21 for its Academy for Lifelong Learning fall programs.

• Lone Star College announces winter break hours, student information - December 20, 2011
  HOUSTON (Dec. 20, 2011) – Most Lone Star College System facilities will be closed for the holiday break beginning Dec. 22 through Jan. 4. Regular operations resume on Thursday, Jan. 5.

• Lone Star College Board to hold hearing, meeting on Dec. 1 - November 28, 2011
  HOUSTON (Nov. 28, 2011) – The Lone Star College System Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing of the proposal to continue the current taxation of goods in transit for LSCS on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011 at 5 p.m. in the board room of the Lone Star College Training and Development Center,

   

• SBDC Advisory Council awards five businesses of the year for 2011 - November 22, 2011
  HOUSTON (Nov. 22, 2011) – The Lone Star College System Small Business Development Center and its Advisory Council has named five 2011 Small Business of the Year Award winners.
  
• Lone Star College System gets prestigious marketing awards - November 18, 2011
  HOUSTON (Nov. 18, 2011) – Lone Star College System won 15 prestigious Medallion awards as part of the annual meeting of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District 4 held last month in Dallas.
  
• Lone Star College-University Park partners with charter school - November 18, 2011
  HOUSTON (Nov. 18, 2011) – Lone Star College-University Park has signed an agreement with Responsive Education Solutions to offer students the chance to earn their high school diploma and up to two years of college credit in just four years.

• Lone Star Corporate College to present seminar on international business - November 16, 2011
  HOUSTON (Nov. 16, 2011) –  Lone Star Corporate College will present a seminar for attorneys and certified public accountants on “International Corporate Compliance Issues” on Thursday, Dec. 1 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Lone Star College-University Park, 20515 State Highway 249 at Louetta Road.
