Six-week Nursing Refresher Course Provides Career Re-entry for RNs

A six-week career re-entry course for RNs, the Lone Star College-North Harris continuing education nursing refresher course covers current nursing practice as related to the clinical areas of medical-surgical, maternal-child, psychiatric-mental health and emergency nursing care. Classroom and hospital time are included in this class designed for inactive nurses returning to active practice. Hospital may require proof of TB test. Registrants should hold a Texas license or have applied for license if out of state. To check status of nursing license and to obtain a limited permit, RNs may call the Texas Board of Nursing Examiners 512.305.7400. 

 

The LSC-North Harris nursing refresher course is $789, plus insurance fee of $19, and is set for Fridays and Saturdays, Aug. 21 through Sept. 19, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at LSC-North Harris College, 2700 W.W. Thorne Drive. For further information, call 281.765.7774.
