Free fall film series set

Expand your horizons and escape to the movies for free this fall at Lone Star College-CyFair!

The Cinema WOW! Film Series, formerly known as the Cy-Fair College Fall Film Series, features eight films exploring the theme “Breaking Boundaries” through a wide-range of Hollywood, independent and foreign releases.

LSC-CyFair professors host the films, offered as individual continuing education Film Appreciation classes, as well as an engaging discussion after the movie.

September films include “Sweet Nothing in My Ear” Wednesday, Sept. 3 and “Down with Love” Wednesday, Sept. 17.

October films include “I am Sam” Wednesday, Oct. 1; “In the Heat of the Night” Saturday, Oct. 11 (at LSC-Fairbanks Center) and “Only the Brave” Wednesday, Oct. 22.

November films include “Rainmaker” Wednesday, Nov. 5; “Caine Mutiny” Saturday, Nov. 15 (at LSC-Fairbanks Center) and “Buena Vista Social Club” Wednesday, Nov. 19.

All films are shown at 7 p.m. in Art 102 in the Center for the Arts building on the LSC-CyFair Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress, except two, which will be held at noon at the LSC-Fairbanks Center at 14955 Northwest Freeway.

Pre-registration is required for each film separately in this popular series, which is open to the community at no charge.
